The City of Sealy is looking for qualified applicants for the position of City Manager.  This position serves as the chief administrative officer of the City, assures that all laws and City ordinances are enforced, and performs other duties as directed by City Council.    Candidates for this position must be able to effectively and professionally communicate with City Council, City staff and residents of the community.  Strong organizational and time management skills along with high ethical standards are necessary for this position.  


  • Must reside within the city limits of Sealy as established by City charter.
  • At least ten (10) years of recent, increasingly responsible experience in municipal government administration is required.  Experience must include roles as chief executive, chief operating officer, or assistant city manager.

  • Candidates must have a valid Texas Class “C” driver’s license and meet City driving standards.

  • Candidates must pass a physical examination, drug screen, credit check, and thorough background check.  

  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in government, public administration, or equivalent field is preferred.
